Heart & Beat Music
The Heart & Beat Music research-based curriculum not only develops music skills, it nurtures creativity, self-expression, and confidence while also supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Classes are held in seasonal sessions, with winter and spring classes running for 10 weeks and fall classes running for 12 weeks. Prior sign-up is required.
Heart & Beat Music classes are held in multiple locations in our area. You can find more information by visiting their website below. Stay tuned for further updates on our center’s schedule as we prepare to reopen our brand-new building!
Siobhan O’Malley organizes music together classes at the center for children aged from 0-5 years old.
Since 1987, Music Together® has introduced millions of children, parents, and caregivers to the joys of making music. Our research-based curriculum is now taught in more than 2,500 locations around the world, including right here in Riverdale, North Riverdale, Kingsbridge, Yonkers, Woodlawn, and Inwood at Heart & Beat Music
Because these benefits build over time, children enjoy the fullest growth in each of these areas when they participate as consistently as possible up through kindergarten.
Each class includes songs, rhythmic chants, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences that are developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers, regardless of their own musical abilities.
In your music together class, every week you’ll sing, play, dance, and jam along with other families.
Just by joining in the fun you can make a huge difference in your children’s development. That’s because children learn through experimentation and model the grownups they love: YOU! Regardless of your music ability, before you know it you’ll be sharing movement and lyric ideas, making silly sounds, and singing along.
Join your Music Together community and nurture your child’s music skill, creativity, self-expression, confidence and overall development. Come see what parents around the world have been raving about for decades!”
