Employment Opportunity – Field Superintendent NYC

Field Superintendent (70k – 95k DOE)
Indigo Interiors GC is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee high end residential renovations in New York City. You will manage day to day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep projects moving according to schedule. We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with clients, designers, and the project team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily work on site and coordinate subcontractors and deliveries.
  • Plan upcoming work, identify sequencing conflicts, and keep the project schedule on track.
  • Read architectural and trade drawings; flag discrepancies and field conditions before they delay work.
  • Monitor workmanship against drawings, specifications, and the standards expected in high end residential work.
  • Coordinate inspections, building access, work hours, protection, and site logistics.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite, including protection of occupied and finished areas.
  • Track daily progress, document site conditions, and communicate updates to the project manager.
  • Identify potential changes in scope and report them promptly before additional work proceeds.
  • Walk completed work, manage punch lists, and follow through on corrections.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of construction experience, including experience supervising residential renovations.
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction, finishes, and trade coordination.
  • Ability to read and work from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Strong scheduling, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Professional manner when working with clients, designers, building staff, and subcontractors.
  • Experience with high end NYC residential projects preferred.
