Hiring Carpenter in NYC $30-$40/hr based on experience

Position: Carpenter / Skilled Carpenter
Location: New York City

Compensation:
$30 – $40 per hour (based on experience)
Compensation is negotiable depending on experience and skill level.
Cuan Corp is a New York City–based general contracting company specializing in commercial interior construction. We have a strong team of superintendents, project managers, carpenters, and laborers and are looking to expand our carpentry staff with individuals who take pride in producing high-quality work.
This role will involve working on commercial construction projects throughout New York City with our internal team and site leadership.
Requirements
Experience
  • 5 -10+ years of carpentry experience
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Carpentry Skills
Candidates should have experience in several of the following areas:
  • Framing and layout
  • Drywall installation
  • Base and trim installation
  • Wood flooring installation
  • Millwork installation
  • Drop ceiling installation
  • General interior carpentry work
Painting and spackling experience is a plus but not required.
Candidates do not need to be experts in every category, but should be comfortable performing multiple carpentry-related tasks on commercial job sites.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layouts
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry tools and construction methods
  • Ability to work independently when required while coordinating with site supervisors
Certifications / Additional Requirements
  • OSHA-30 Certification required
  • Must have own carpentry tools
  • Driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to work on job sites throughout New York City
