Compassionate Dementia Caregiver Needed – Westchester
We are seeking a responsible, caring, compassionate, patient, and trustworthy caregiver to provide care and companionship for an elderly woman living with dementia in Westchester.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM
- Schedule follows the local school calendar and will begin this coming September
- Summer hours are also required
- Occasional additional hours may be available on weekends
Pay:
- $20.05 per hour
- Position is paid through PPL and is “on the books”
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Assist with bathing and personal care
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Engage in activities appropriate for someone with dementia
- Communicate effectively with family members as needed
Requirements:
- Dementia care experience is required
- Reliable transportation is required
- Must be comfortable around cats and enjoy animals
- Dependable, patient, and trustworthy
- Ability to provide three references
- Must be able to provide identification and documentation required for employment through PPL
- Authorized to work in the United States
