Job Description

Dot Cares is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and observant individual to provide companionship and light support to independent senior adults living in Westchester County. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older adults and is attentive to changes in health or well-being. It is ideal for retired professionals, healthcare workers, or those seeking flexible, meaningful part-time work (3-5 hours per week with potential for more.

Responsibilities

· Drive seniors to medical appointments, errands, and social outings

· Accompany seniors to lunch or local activities

· Provide companionship and friendly conversation

· Run errands on behalf of the senior

· Observe and report any concerns related to cognitive changes, mobility, or overall well-being

· After each visit, provide a brief update to an elder care manager regarding how the visit went

Qualifications

· Must be able to navigate the medical system for accompanying senior to appointments

· Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record

· Comfortable driving seniors to appointments and activities

· Patience, empathy and love for working with older adults required (caregiving, healthcare, social work, or similar)

· Strong communication skills and good judgment

· Dependable, punctual, and compassionate

· Must have a clean driving record

· Flexible, part-time role with competitive hourly pay – $30/hour
