Full-Time Legal Secretary Required for Financial District, NYC

We are seeking a talented, organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Secretary. As a Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and clerical duties that are essential for the effective operation of our legal team. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, proof-read, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
• Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys.
• Organize, maintain, and update case files and legal databases.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and external contacts.
• Track deadlines and ensure all legal documentation is filed accurately and on time.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls, and emails.
• Assist attorneys with administrative tasks and provide general office support. Qualifications:
• Previous experience as Legal Secretary or similar role in related field highly preferred.
• Proficiency in legal case management software, specifically TABS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm.
Office Location: Financial District, Manhattan
Salary: $22+ per hour, negotiable based on experience. Paid Vacation and Benefits.
