Position responsibilities will include:
Providing treatment for approximately 10 – 12 patients per day
- Supervising student interns as directed by Manager
- Conduct initial Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and review patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist
- Participate in clinical quality assurance initiatives
- Provide patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation
- Complete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to:
- daily notation of therapy
- all progress reports with updates
- rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences
- Develops and reviews patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist
- Participates in clinical quality assurance initiatives
- Provides patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation
- Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities
- Additional responsibilities that may be assigned form time to time, i.e. splinting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- NYS License as a registered Physical Therapist.
- Must maintain license in good standing.
