Siobhan McEntee

25th Anniversary Queens Ambassador

Siobhan McEntee was born and raised in Maspeth, Queens. We are thrilled to have her represent us as our Queens Ambassador. Her parents, Mary and George Gibbons, were both Irish natives and taught her the importance of community from a young age. Siobhan is married to Bernard McEntee of Monaghan and is the proud mother of Marina, Seamus, Triona, Molly and Chuck (RIP). Her children play a key role in the Aisling Center Ceili Band.

Siobhan has been involved with our Team Aisling group since the very beginning. As Queens team captain, she has taken part in many races, formed friendships, raised money for worthy charities, and had endless fun along the waySiobhan feels proud to be part of such a special group of people and loves the team spirit and mutual encouragement everyone provides.

Outside of the Aisling Center, Siobhan has worked with many charitable and cultural organizations, including the Wheelchair Sports Federation, Maspeth Town Hall, Monaghan Society & Football Club, Parents and Students of Irish Dancing & Music, Mineola Irish Center, Sunnyside/Maybeth Children’s Trad Sessions, and the Kiwanis Club of Maspeth. The common thread joining these all is Siobhan’s love of her heritage and dedication to helping others. We are so happy to have her bring this spirit to our 25th Anniversary Celebrations!

Be sure to join Siobhan at the Queens 6K in Juniper Valley Park on October 24th. The race will begin at the Tennis Courts (80th Street & Juniper Boulevard South) with an after party being held at Gibbons’ Home.
