Babysitting listing – Larchmont, NY- starting in August
Looking for a warm, reliable, and compassionate childminder to join us on weekday mornings to early afternoons. We have two toddlers (ages 3 and 1.5) and are expecting our third baby in August. I will be staying at home to care for the newborn, so this role will primarily focus on helping with the toddlers. A car and driving is not necessary. We live 15 mins walk from Larchmont train station, Larchmont train station is about 20mins from Fordham train station.
I will be staying at home, and will be able to help out but I’m hoping to have someone help out mostly with our toddlers as they enjoy going to library classes, park, arts and crafts. I will be taking care of the newborn mostly, but will be able to help out when needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Playing and engaging with our toddlers, they love being outside, arts and crafts and music.
- Bringing them to the library or park, a 5-10 minute walk from our house.
- Dropping off (9:00 AM) and picking up (11:30 AM) our oldest toddler at nursery school on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays mornings. The nursery school is a 10-minute walk from our house.
- Preparing snacks or small meal for toddlers.
- Light tidy after children’s activities.
- Helping keep afternoons organized and running smoothly
When we need help:

Weekday mornings — happy to work around your schedule, whether that’s all five days or just a few. We are hoping to have someone on the days our oldest has nursery school, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, to help with drop off at 9am and pick up at 11:30am.
Requirements:
- Prior childcare experience.
- A patient, dependable, and trustworthy personality.
- Reliable transportation, as previously stated you do not need to drive our children to activities but just to make sure you arrive on time, be it by car or public transport.
- Three people who can speak to your character/professional references.
- $25-30 an hour based on experience.
