CDL Class A Driver / Laborer – Full-Time
Crane and Rigging Company is seeking a motivated, organized, and hard‑working CDL Class A Driver/Laborer to join our team.
This role involves transporting equipment and materials throughout Connecticut and surrounding states, as well as assisting with rigging and crane operations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Load trailers and secure loads for transport
- Transport equipment safely between job sites
- Assist with rigging operations using cranes and rigging equipment
- Control movement of heavy equipment in confined or narrow spaces
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of co-workers at all times
- Inspect slings, cables, straps, and lifting gear prior to use
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs
- Signal or verbally direct workers during hoisting and moving operations
Requirements & Skills:
- CDL Class A license required (minimum 2 years tractor‑trailer driving experience)
- OSHA‑10 certification (minimum)
- Forklift license a plus
- Experience with oversized and overweight loads preferred
- Willingness to travel and work overtime
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
