Compassionate caregivers needed to support seniors across Manhattan, Northern Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

Pay: $25-$35/hour

Schedule: Flexible – full-time or part-time, with day, night, and overnight shifts

Job Description:
Harmony Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors across Manhattan, Northern Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. Your work experience is just one of the considerations in our hiring process. In the process of getting to know you, our staff will be better prepared to match you with a compatible client. This is an especially rewarding role for individuals who enjoy meaningful conversation connection.

Requirements:
– Valid New York State HHA or PCA certification
– Ability to commute within New York City
-Three years of experience in caregiving
-Strong desire to help others and improve quality of life

Responsibilities:
-Providing companionship to older adults and individuals with chronic conditions; this may include discussing shared interests, or taking trips to cultural venues
-Assisting with Activities of -Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing or dressing assistance
-Assisting with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housework
-Safety supervision, standby assistance with ambulation or certain other tasks, medication reminders, adherence to care plans
-For clients with dementia, you’ll need to communicate effectively, provide mental stimulation, and/or safety supervision, as necessary
