Electrician Wanted in Lower Westchester Area
Electricians must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with line voltage systems. The Electrician performs electrical system installation, maintenance, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting. The Electrician may perform their tasks either alone or with the assistance of an apprentice(s) when applicable. General company requirements include the compliance with OSHA standards.
General Job Duties
· Perform electrical duties including but not limited to: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures, etc. utilizing hand tools and power tools; Run and terminate wiring to devices such as circuit breakers, panels, transformers, and other components; Bend and install conduit, and pull designated wiring through the conduit; Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform tasks; Work on ladders, scaffolds, and roofs for installation, maintenance, and repair purposes; Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems; Test electrical systems and their continuity using testing devices.
· Perform work without additional supervision once set up by the Lead Electrician, Foreman, or Superintendent.
· Instruct and guide 1 or more Apprentices, when applicable.
· Ensure that daily tasks are being completed in a timely fashion to meet any deadlines.
Requirements
· 5-7 years of experience in the electrical industry.
· Knowledge of and compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
· Necessary tools & testing equipment.
· Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Driver’s License (Required) (it will be checked)
· 30-Hour OSHA & 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health Certification.
