Weekend Companion – Valhalla

My mom will be 90 years old in July. Lives in Valhalla, she has dementia, pleasantly confused, frail, arthritis and needs help with activities of daily living.  She uses a rolling walker and has an unsteady gait,  she needs someone nearby, as she is a Fall risk.  She basically goes to the grocery store, church, and her children’s houses in Westchester County.

 

The hours would be 11 to 8 or 9 pm.

$25.00 per hour

 

She likes to cook herself,  but needs someone to clean up after her,  keep eye on the stove.  Also, they would need to keep house neat and clean.

 

We like her to go out everyday, walking, even indoors – going up and down grocery store aisles in bad weather, to keep movement.  And meds are in med box,  she needs to be given meds 3x daily.
