Friday September 26, 2025

Mulino’s at Lake Isle

Honoring
Darragh Garvey, Patrick Murphy, and Derek & Becky Woods!

We invite you to join us in celebrating our incredible honorees

Darragh Garvey, originally from Co. Dublin, emigrated to New York in 2010. He lives in Yonkers with his beautiful wife, Niamh, and their son, Shea. Like many before him, Darragh started out bartending, quickly earning a reputation for his warmth and reliability. He later found his true calling in the building supplies industry, where his hard work, integrity, and attention to detail helped him build a loyal client base across New York and beyond. Today, Darragh is the proud co-owner of MGF Group Inc., where he’s known not just as a trusted supplier, but as a true partner. To him, clients are more like friends and extended family. Always willing to go the extra mile, Darragh believes strong relationships are the foundation of good business and he takes great pride in being someone people can count on. He is deeply honored to be recognized by the Aisling Center. To Darragh, having a resource like the Aisling Center is a true gift, one that keeps Irish heritage alive while fostering a strong sense of belonging for generations to come.

Patrick K. Murphy is a lifelong Yonkers resident with his Irish roots in Counties Clare and Carlow. He is an IT & digital media entrepreneur and the founder of New Logical, providing digital strategy, media production, and IT solutions to over 300 clients across the nonprofit, business, and public sectors. Patrick has been very involved in sports broadcasting since 2019, when he launched New Logical Sports. His broadcast network showcases the New York GAA matches, the Lansdowne Rugby Football Club, Lansdowne Yonkers FC,  and Manhattan Celtic FC. Patrick proudly serves on the Yonkers Human Rights Commission and supports Irish culture through the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade, American Irish Association of Westchester, and AOH Thomas Addis Emmet Division 17. Patrick helped run the “Meet Me on McLean” Festival for 3 years and served on the Baruch College Association Board for 7 years. Recognized by the Irish Echo 40 Under 40, Business Council of Westchester Rising Stars, and Westchester Magazine’s Wunderkinds, Patrick continues to connect technology, community, and heritage with visibility and innovation.

Derek and Becky Woods are the husband-and-wife team behind the award-winning Riverdale Children’s Theatre (RCT), a nonprofit they co-founded in 2010 to bring arts education to youth in the Bronx and Yonkers. RCT has since been recognized as a CNN “Champion for Change” and named one of the top children’s theaters in the U.S. by Backstage. Together, the Woods have directed over 180 full-scale productions, empowering young performers and enriching their community through the arts. Derek, a Bronx native and son of Irish immigrants, began performing at age 8. He is an Emmy-nominated videographer and known for acclaimed programs like Bronx Magazine and his Irish immigration documentary Memory Brings Us Back. He currently serves as tech director at RCT. Becky, originally from Chapel Hill, NC, began performing professionally in high school. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Cincinnati Conservatory and an MA in Music Education from Lehman College. A nationally and internationally recognized performer, she is also a TONY Award nominee for Excellence in Theater Education.
