Lauren McCormack

The Aisling Irish Community and Cultural Center is proud to have Lauren McCormack representing the AICC in the New York City Marathon, this November, as a member of the Aisling Marathon Team. Lauren is from Co. Kilkenny and moved to NY in October 2022. Lauren’s family and friends live in Ireland, Killenny, and Kerry where they will be supporting her from afar. Her interest in running sparked following her move to NYC when she joined the Slainte Retreats Run Club where she met lots of great people and got a taste for the NY run culture. Lauren is running this year for the AICC as both a supporter of the work the center does for the community and as one of our own staff members! Lauren chose to support the social services program as a natural fit as the social worker here at the AICC. Through her work Lauren has been able to meet and support the Irish/American community both here and abroad. Go n-Éirí an Bóthar Leat, Lauren!
