Niamh McGrath

The Aisling Irish Community and Cultural Center is proud to have Niamh McGrath representing us in this November’s New York City Marathon as a member of the Aisling Marathon team. Niamh is busy training for what will be her first full marathon. She is representing AICC because she wanted to bring attention to a place she is passionate about. Niamh is a first generation Irish-American with her Mom from Co. Waterford and her Dad from Co. Cork. She currently lives in Maspeth, Queens, where she is a fourth grade special education teacher. Growing up, Niamh considered running a punishment, but eventually gave it a shot and has embraced her new hobby, looking forward to every run. She is extremely excited for this experience and is eager for her first of many full marathons. Go n-Éirí an Bóthar Leat, Niamh….
