Niamh McGrath

Please support Niamh McGrath as she trains and runs in the NY Marathon in November. Niamh is a first-generation Irish American with her mom hailing from Co. Waterford and her dad from Co. Cork. She currently lives in Maspeth, Queens where she is a special education teacher. Niamh was one of our 2022 runners who experienced a challenging race day due to an old injury. She did not want to let that be her only experience with the NY Marathon and continued to train and entered to win a slot this year. She put a lot of heart into training and is excited that she will get another chance to tackle the marathon. Growing up she always considered running a punishment, however, she now finds it exhilarating and rewarding and now enjoys and looks forward to every run.
