Computer Courses:

The Aisling Irish Community Center is an accredited US ICDL Test Center. The ICDL course is the US equivalent to the popular European International Driving License (ECDL). We offer the International Computer Driving License certification (ICDL), an international computer qualification designed to assist individuals develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects.

The Center employs certified instructors to teach classes at all levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced) covering Word, Excel, PowerPoint, File Management, Access, Internet and E-Mail.

Morning computer classes for seniors (Introduction to Computers and Basic-Intermediate level) are available at a very affordable rate.

Arts & Crafts Classes for Children:

The art classes are for children of all ages and are run by a qualified and experienced Art teacher.Students work in pencil, charcoal, gouache, watercolour and chalf pastels. Click here to see our photo gallery of our most recent exhibition.

Irish Language class:

The Center offers an Irish Language class for young children. The course follows the Irish curriculum. These classes are of particular interest to families who may be planning on relocating to Ireland or to children of Irish born parents who wish to learn the Irish language which is such an important aspect of the Irish culture.

Irish Music:

Ann Marie Acosta teaches traditional Irish music every week on a variety of musical instruments, and from entry to advanced level.

Irish Dance:

Irish Dance classes for children & teenagers are held at the center four days a week by accredited teachers. The center has a spacious studio downstairs which is ideal for Irish dancing.

Yoga Classes:

Relax and enjoy the Yoga classes being offered at the Center. The classes are run by accredited yoga teachers and are open to all levels of ability. There are five classes held each week:

Tuesday and Thursday nights @ 7:30pm

Wednesday @ 6:30pm

Thursday @ 2pm (chair yoga for seniors)

Friday @ 5:00pm (yoga for children)

They are available on a first come, first serve basis and cost just $5 per class with no prior registration required.

After School Homework Help:
We have available a New York State licensed teacher available to assist students with their homework, in addition to contact phone numbers for certified Tutors in particular subjects. Students benefit greatly with this program which also enhances their study and organizational skills. Students are given homework and academic support in all subject areas.
